About StepSolvers

We believe that understanding how to solve a problem is just as important as getting the right answer. StepSolvers gives everyone free, clear, step-by-step math tools, no account and no subscription.

Our Mission

Math intimidates a lot of people, not because it's impossible, but because the steps are often hidden. A teacher writes an answer on the board and the student sees the leap but not the path. We built StepSolvers to close that gap.

Whether you're a student checking homework, a parent helping at the kitchen table, or a professional doing a quick sanity check, our tools show every step so you can follow along and actually learn.

Our Approach

All calculations run entirely in your browser, nothing is sent to a server. That means your numbers stay private and nothing slows you down.

Who Runs StepSolvers

StepSolvers is an independent project run by M. Amish and the StepSolvers team. We write each explanation in plain English, build every calculator to show its working, and correct reported mistakes as quickly as we can. The tools cover school and early university level math and statistics, and every answer is meant to be understood, not just copied.

How We Keep the Math Right

A calculator is only useful if it is correct, so accuracy comes before new features. Every calculator is tested before release against independent reference calculations, using hundreds of randomly generated inputs as well as edge cases such as zero, negative numbers, very large values and invalid entries. Where an answer can be exact, such as a fraction or a value in terms of pi, the calculator works with exact arithmetic instead of rounded decimals. Several tools also include a Check your answer step that confirms the result a second way.

Each tool page shows when it was last updated. If you spot a wrong answer or an unclear explanation, email us with the numbers you entered and we will investigate. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page date is refreshed.

Editorial Independence and Advertising

The explanations, formulas and worked examples on this site are written for learners, not for advertisers. StepSolvers is free to use and is supported by advertising shown through Google AdSense. Ads are never mixed into a calculator's answer, and they do not change what we write. Articles written by outside contributors are labelled as guest articles, and any link they contain to the author's own business is marked as sponsored and nofollow.
